A heat wave hit the Sacramento area a couple of weeks ago as temperatures hit well into triple digits. As the summer months roll along, another wave of hot weather will most likely hit us again.

To help cool your body down, try dipping it in one of the many community public pools throughout the Sacramento area. Here is a list to help you find the pool nearest you:

Also, don't forget to include the babies and toddlers into the fun. Visit area kiddie and wading pools build especially for younger swimmers.

When the temperature hits 100 degrees and above, some pools will extend their hours. So always call ahead to confirm hours of operation, as well as fees for entering the pool.
