Runnng to Feed The Hungry

Help feed those who rely on area food banks to fill their pantries by participating in a run or walk event.

Plus, by taking a run or walk on Thanksgiving morning, you can jump start your metabolism for another race - the one that gets you to a slice of pumpkin pie.

15th Annual Run to Feed the Hungry
When: Nov. 27. Registration is 7:30 a.m. to 8:55 a.m. Run begins 9 a.m. Walkers, strollers and baby joggers begins 9:10 a.m.
Length: 10K run and 5K run/walk
Description: The Run to Feed the Hungry is Sacramento’s largest annual run/walk that attracts more than 20,000 participants. The proceeds from the run benefits the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services.

4th Annual Run and Walk Against Hunger
When: Nov. 27. Kids ¼-mile run begins 8 a.m. Opening ceremony is 8:20 a.m. The 5K run/walk, 10K run and Team 5K run begins 8:30 a.m.
Length: 10K run, 5K run/walk and ¼-mile kids run
Description: Run along the scenic waterfront in Stockton at Emergency Food Bank fo Stockton/San Joaquin 4th Annual Run and Walk Against Hunger event. The kids run is for runners nine year old and younger.
