An ideal starting point for touring Old Sacramento is the B.F. Hastings Building, where one can find the Visitor’s Center. The structure was built following the great Sacramento fire in 1852. In June 1967, the State of California purchased the building to include it in the Old Sacramento restoration project.

The B.F. Hastings Building is located on J and 2nd streets.
