Kitty corner to the Wells Fargo History Museum is The Pony Express Statue. The 15-foot, bronze statue and concrete base commemorates the 1,966-mile mail run from Sacramento to St. Joseph, Missouri. The city-to-city relay took less than 10 days to ride. Old Sacramento served as the western terminus of the Pony Express postal system.
The Pony Express Statue is located at the corner of J and 2nd streets.
