NOVEMBER 9

EXPO – Scrapbookers unite at the 5th Annual Scrapbook Expo. Pre-registration is available online. There are workshops, contests and an exhibitors hall.
When: Nov. 9, Expo floor hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; workshop hours 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; crop night hours 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Nov. 10, expo floor hours 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., workshop hours 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., crop night hours 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Registration and will call opens at 8 a.m. for both days.
Location: Sacramento Convention Center, 1400 J St., Sac
Cost: $8 each day, $10 to $31 per workshop class, $25 per person for crop nights. Reserve tables available for addition $15.

MUSICAL – The River City Theatre Company presents two casts of 128 first through 12th graders to perform Broadway’s “42nd Street.” More than 70 area schools are participating.
When: Nov. 9, 7:30 p.m.; Nov. 10, 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; Nov. 16, 7:30 p.m.; and Nov. 17, 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

COMIC – Actor and comedian Bill Bellamy will make a three-night appearance at the Punch Line Comedy Club in Sacramento. Must be 18 and older.

FAIR – Sacramento Modular Railroaders, Roseville Roundhouse Model Railroad Club, European Train Enthusiasts, and the Sierra Division of the National Model Railroad Association hosts the 31st Annual International Railfair.

BASKETBALL – The Harlem Globetrotters dribbles its way to Arco Arena for a four-night home-stand during its 2008 World Tour.

RAGTIME FESTIVAL – Sacramento is the host of the “biggest ragtime festival in the world.” There will musicians, and of course dancing at this three-day event.
When: Nov. 16, 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Nov. 17, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Nov. 18, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
