At the north-east corner, near 15th Street and Capitol Avenue, of the State Capitol Park sits the California Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
The multi-million dollar memorial is circular in design with more than 20 engraved black granite panels with the names of at least 5,800 Californians who are dead or missing along with their hometowns.
At the center of the memorial are a series of bronze statues and relief sculptures that depict scenes of daily life during the war.
