1. 33rd Street Bistro
The 33rd Street Bistro has been an East Sacramento favorite eatery for nearly a decade and has great date possibilities. It is a trendy and hip restaurant that offers indoor and outdoor dining where couples can cozy up and enjoy the food. The dinner menu has reasonably priced items, while there are plates you can definitely splurge on, like the coffee rubbed grilled angus rib-eye with housemade steak butter ($23.95).

2. Tapa the World
Tapa the World is considered one of Midtown’s best restaurants. Space can get a little cramped, but you’re on a date, so the closer the better right? Some have complained about the temperature inside the restaurant, but luckily they have an outdoor patio. To get the full Tapa the World experience, make sure to dine on the fourth Saturday of the month to watch Yaelisa and Caminos Flamencos perform at 11 p.m. Tapas can run from $1.50 to $13, while the popular paellas can cost $11.50 to $15.50 per person.

3. Cheesecake Factory
OK, so I had to add a chain restaurant. But sometimes, you have to go with what is tried and true. The Cheesecake Factory in the Arden area serves good food and large portions (large enough to share with your date). Also with the extensive menu choices, even a picky date can find something to satisfy his/her hunger. The ambiance is pleasant, yet intimate. Also, the menu is affordable, $5.95 to $27.95. And of course, who can resist sharing a sinful cheesecake with names like Kahlua Cocoa Coffee, Dutch Apple Streusel, and Craig's Crazy Carrot Cake?
