The Crocker Art Museum was established in 1885 and is known as the longest, continuously running museum in the West. More than 160,000 people have visited the museum to enjoy Crocker's various and diverse exhibits, including California art, Asian art, international ceramics and Victorian architecture. Currently, the museum is undergoing an expansion that is estimated to triple in size. Crocker is among the many Sacramento museums found in the Downtown/Midtown/Old Sacramento area.
